Just watched the doc on Carl Beech, the fantasist nonce.
Seem to remember there was one poster in particular on here that seemed to constantly update us with his conspiracy theories on what the establishment were up to at the time the Met’s finest were plodding about in his web of lies.
I imagine they won’t have much to say after watching tonight’s programme.

Or maybe not..... name spellt differently....

aka ‘Nick’, the man who made heinous accusations of child sex abuse, child rape, and child murder against several prominent military men and politicians. The Met investigated the claims (Operation Midland) for a period of two years, named some of the accused (who then had their lives destroyed by the red tops, and some broadsheets, and the BBC), and never brought a single charge. Asked for additional witnesses to the alleged crimes, Beech proffered ‘Fred’, who was only prepared to communicate by email; ‘Fred’ turned out to be Beech.

Beech was eventually convicted of child sex offences (child porn images on computer), fraud, and perverting the course of justice - currently serving 18 years.

One of the most egregious cases of malicious false accusations I can recall - destroyed several people’s lives. Set back the progress that had been made in waking society up to the genuine cases of child abuse following Savile by at least a decade, imo.

Scum.

Gross incompetence on the part of the Met Police however, they consistently succeed in painting the rest of the countries police as a bunch of thick plod who haven't a clue what they are doing, I know most officers of every other force detest the Met Police and their hugely over inflated opinion of themselves.
