I really don't know what harm it would do to release the names of the goal scorers.

Portsmouth defeated by Premier League Brighton as they're given valuable pre-season workout

Pompey fell to a 3-0 defeat to Premier League Brighton as they were given a challenging final pre-season test. The Blues found a powerful Seagulls side too strong for them in their last pre-season friendly before competitive action begins next weekend at Stevenage in the Carabao Cup.

Kenny Jackett opted to take a first-team squad to Brighton’s training ground, after fielding two separate XIs in the warm-up win over Norwich under-23s last weekend.

Graham Potter’s side showed their quality as they dominated possession and made it an exercise in defensive organisation for the Blues.

Pompey restricted their hosts well in the first 45 minutes and went in goalless at the break, but Brighton’s use of the ball took its toll in the second half with the goals following.

Still, it’s the kind of challenge which has put some hard yards into the legs of the squad as they now turn their attention to competitive action.

Dunk - 8 - Captain fantastic
Webster - 7 - very solid except for THAT error
Burn - 6 - not very good in the air for a big man
Stephens - 6 - sideways, sideways, backwards never forwards
Lallana - 7 - good before the injury. Hope it’s not too serious
Mooy - 6 - too slow
Gross - 5 - even slower
MacAllister - 5 - Off the pace. Will get better, eventually...
Maupay - 7 - great finish for the goal

Second half
Walton - 6 - too tall
Veltman - 6 - wimp. Needs to toughen up if he wants to make it in England
White - 4 - clearly wants away
Duffy - 5 - can’t play Potterball
Cochrane 7 - looks a real prospect
Propper - 6 - fantastic hair
Alzate - 8 - the Columbian Zidane
Bissouma - 9 - going to be player of the season
Connolly - 7 - two good goals but League one is about his level
March - 5 - can’t beat a man, can’t cross a ball
Murray - 4 - should have retired in 2015

Sub
Bernado - 5 - a solid two minute cameo

What was the outcome of the person being led away from the boundary fencing?
Radio 5 Live mentioned he had been standing on a bucket.

Any updates?

Wasnt on the sidelines he was in goal. The ref sent off Maty Ryan for trying to gain an unfair advantage.:lolol:

Apparently Brighton banned Portsmouth press / social media - and prevented leaks of team news / scorers
