I love this thread and chart but seeing those fixtures now and the 15 points in January I am feeling somewhat apprehensive to say the least.

I love the thread but do wish the benchmark was more positive, what with this being the 4th second.

If the European table is a little too much, shouldn't 'we' be striving for 50 points instead of 40?

Isn't the way to do that do have a (personal) target over the tracker, so, for example, "I want to be +10" and then follow the tracker on that basis.

I think that the algorithm is spot on, removes all subjectiveness and gives a genuine tracker to get to 40points (and when was the last time a team needed 40 to stay up?).

It's not broken, so let's not fix it.

Thanks as always G.
But shouldn't there be two spreadsheets, one with BW as a Brighton player (6 pts from Leeds) and one with him at Leeds, zero points.

My favourite thread on NSC

- always gives a good sense of how we’re doing
- hilarious to read all the numpteys who can’t understand it.

Confirms my thoughts it’s a tough start. The Leeds fans will be unbearable...

Love this thread. Given our amazing away form (unbeaten for last 6 months) I think we will do much better than predicted for the away games early in the season.

A sense of belonging instead of just passing through.

Giraffe Can we have a Sense of Belonging Tracker next season if we stay up again?

15 points after 15 games is perfectly on track !

Sorry ignore. Yes 15 points after 18 games will be very worrying.

I was thinking that too - but our first two away matches are against teams whose new signings have slotted straight in and greatly improved them. Last season I wouldn't have been surprised if we nicked all three a St. James Park and one at Goodison (even though we never get anything there!) Now I'm not so sure ................

Brighton. NOT KEMPTOWN!
Smack on track. No complaints from me, although I thought we were cruelly beaten tonight.
Christ, it's hard to type when you're pissed!

4 points off Everton. Hmmm

Does this mean we can lose the next 3 and still be happy?
