Objectively we are doing what we need to survive - and we've never departed far in either direction from the line of assured safety.

You never know with Brighton we may yet get above 40 points unlikely but not impossible. Not beyond us to snatch a point or even 3 v Arsenal, we may even grab something unlikely against a resting City you never know.

The league position and points total is not reassuring but the comfort of the gap is something to take comfort from.

If Fulham don’t improve on their 27 points , would that be the lowest points total needed to survive this season in PL history, ie 28 ?

Next lowest I can see was 18th had 30pts 2009/10.

Do think it should be based on 36 points next season? But we'll be more focused on the European element!
