Took my 6 year old to see the live action remake of that lovely 1940s cartoon Pinocchio.

It was genuinely disturbing.

Spoilers but he burnt his feet off, got hung, drowned as a donkey, elated by a sharped toothed whale but mainly the characters where scary as hell.

The wheezing tuna, nightmare inducing.

Worse than any saw film

Not as disturbing as me being taken to see 'The Land That Time Forgot' aged 5.

Still remember the nightmares.

I was scarred for life when my mum took me to see " A Walt Disney film " at the age of six... it was Fantasia, absolute crock of shite, even Mickey Mouse abandoned the production before the end...

As an aside, Do you have to wear a mask in the cinema? That wouldn't help with the 'Kill the big nosed bell cheese" atmosphere

Took my 3 year old to see the original film. He got bored and we left. Not before we saw Pinocchio drinking beer and getting wasted. He was just a boy FFS!

We took our then 4 year old to see the highly regarded kids animation Coraline.

It was like a toned down horror, more at the Amityville end of the movies spectrum, than the Bambi end.

She still remembers it 11 years on.

I ran out of the Plaza cinema in Worthing when One Million B.C. first aired in about 1966. I didn’t get to see Rachel Welshs tits but caught up with them again a few years later.

Brighton. NOT KEMPTOWN!
You should try taking him/her to a West Ham match. Far far more disturbing.
You're right. You can't see the pitch!

My mum thought it was a good idea to let me watch Threads when I was about 9 years old (at the height of the cold war).

The only positive being that I've never been scared by any film since.

Not as disturbing as me being taken to see 'The Land That Time Forgot' aged 5.

Still remember the nightmares.

The original blue lagoon, skeletons in the cave scene, warped my tiny mind
