It's our home version of the McDonalds' classic.

Out of interest, which are the best veggie sausages? I am a naughty meat-eater but am interested nonetheless and may try some.

Quorn are our go-to, but there are a load of decent options now.

The Richmond ones are good.

Richmond are my favourite. I am not vegetarian but actually prefer them to normal sausages.

In America they sometimes have steak for breakfast but who on earth has one over here, unless you’re a body builder? I couldn’t imagine anything less breakfasty. But then they eat bacon jelly and peanut sandwiches. Savages.

For the record, I had scrambled eggs on toast with smoked salmon. Very nice. And CIVILISED!

Toasted pane Pugliese , rubbed with a garlic clove , then drizzled with olive oil . Topped with a mixture of mashed avocado , chili flakes , toasted pine nuts and lime juice . On top of that a plain fried egg and a few slices of crispy pancetta. Sumatra Mandheling coffee.
