The Algorithm - not fit for purpose (plain right evil for some state schools)
The Government - appalling again, a complete shit show led by a ****ing idiot
The Opposition - ****ing useless, hold this Tory shit show to account
Political class - absolutely shocking; self-aggrandising, self-interested and downright evil in some cases. It might always have been the case but their twattishness is now being laid bare on a daily basis as crisis after crisis unravels.
Brexit and climate change still to play out...

Come off it. Starmer made all the right points yesterday. What do you expect him to do? Get up on a stage in Neasden with a megaphone and start ranting, à la Corbyn?

We can all* see the government is right up there with those of Chamberlain, Heath, Callaghan and Dave. They are daily announcing their own incompetance. We don't need Starmer popping up to say 'yeah, see!' every five minutes, like the welsh windbag Kinnock used to do. And he is not obliged to keep saying on a daily basis what he would have done were he PM. He knows how to steer calmer.

*although I expect the usual suspects like JCFG to b along in a few days to point out that some labour councillor in Burnley has been caught exaggerating his travel claims, proving once again that the communist labour party is not fit to govern.

So Johnson and his merry band have now managed to 'fix' Covid, 'fix' the economy and 'fix' the education system and there's still probably time for them to 'fix' the Courts and Legal System before they 'fix' Brexit.

BTEC results stand, so this is a long way from over.

BTEC results delayed again as they are all being regraded to keep them in line with the GCSE results which, unsurprisingly, have shown a steep rise in grades (79% getting grade 4 or higher, up from 69%, 1 in 4 getting 7 or higher up from 1 in 5). There is apparently also an anomaly with some GCSE results which have resulted in some pupils getting far higher grades than they should have, which will result in schools appealing to have them adjusted down (lady on the news gave an example of a pupil who had been given a U by his teachers due to absenteeism, being awarded a grade 9!!)

funny thing about BTEC is the implication they want to bump them all up now they (Pearson) have seen the A level and GSCE grades inflated. every action has a consequence.

Why don’t you do one of your fascinating polls? See if you can do it first time without the mistakes?

Edit back on topic, Miss CR was delighted with her results and has achieved what she needed to get on her chosen A Level subjects at BHASVIC. [emoji106]

Congrats miss CR! my Nieces have had their results, one has gone straight to the pub, but no idea if that's to celebrate or drown her sorrows!

All happy here as Miss D7 did superb at her GCSEs (all as expected) and D7 jr got his results upgraded to what he was expected. Whilst well chuffed - I’m well out of pocket as I stupidly agreed several years ago on a pain/gain share incentivisation scheme on results

Congrats to all.

Time to introduce the reality of tax, NI and Pension contributions. With a little creative accounting I'm sure they will be owing you money.

The algorithm has also given people grades that are higher than they could have achieved if they had sat the exam
