I went right off him when he said Bellotti seemed a nice guy and was doing a good job

Great defender

One of our best defenders. When he headed the ball it was targeted and invariably went to one of our players

Hmm didn't come across that way to me, was really happy to answer anything - seems to reply to almost everyone who speaks to him on Twitter, too. Has a lot of time for fans of all his old clubs.

I agree that he has a really positive outlook on life and always tries to turn a negative into a positive.

He is also very engaged with the fans on Twitter, keen to respond to any random comments.

Maybe I caught him on a bad day?

Me and some mates had dinner with him as part of a quiz final we were in. The other team Arsenal (Who we beat ) got Frank McLintock who seemed like a lovely chap, Gary on the other hand couldn't get out of there quick enough. TBF this is about 25 years ago so he may have mellowed
