They are a big club, fan base wise. Naturally, some of their fans will be a bit deluded and voice their delusions on social media, especially after winning the league. Deluded fans on twitter doesn't make an entire fanbase, ffs.
As if we don't have deluded fans of our own who act billy big bollocks when we certainly don't have any right to

I tried to explain on the Ben White thread but if just don't get it, that's ok.
Catchment: Leeds conurbation plus East Yorkshire, North Yorkshire, South Yorkshire (not Sheffield) and pockets of West Yorkshire outside Leeds. I'm guessing 2million. Lack of an alternative you could say. Big following from around the country, Scandinavia, Ireland and Australia especially. Guess you didn't see Sydney Bridge lit up to celebrate our promotion.
Explanation: most of it is historical of course, from the 60/70's and given a boost by the Wilkinson and O'Leary era's but the away following is pretty special and the old school atmosphere flies in the face of how football has developed these last 20 years. Quite addictive, a little aggressive and hugely passionate. Bielsa has just added to the fire. Outstanding football for two years and players you can relate to who play for the shirt.
Hierachy: At the time of our relegation only Arsenal, Liverpool and Man Utd had a better standing. Gotta admit that another 3 - City, Spurs and Chelsea - have moved ahead of us in terms of wealth and attraction for players - and any PL club having received the TV monies for substantial years have developed their academies, training facilities and built a squad of players paid and rated in excess of ours. We are paupers but the level of investment money that will poor into our club will rapidly close the gap and . . . as we know it is all a function of how you perform on the pitch.
But, how much is built on sand? Look at Stoke. An established PL club for a number of years from the lower end of the table of course, crashing down and now lost in space. More likely heading to league 1 than returning and no better than half of the Championship sides in terms of prestige. Got a lot for respect for Burnley, Brighton and even Norwich who have looked to build longer term infrastructure to take their clubs forward, to support greater top level stability.
So laugh all you like, question all you like. It's ok. You don't get it unless you are part of it. Regards

Nope, he 'plays' for a World Class manager with a load of guys he considers his mates in front of a passionate fan base who idolise him. For one of the country's traditional power houses who want to sign him and pay him in excess of what BHA have offered in a new contract, and can afford, a team that loaned him out instead of developing his potential within.
The facilities will catch up soon enough but are hardly third rate.

Not a fan of Leeds, but impressed by the way that the manager has instilled into them that they need to play until the season has finished.
The could easily have been on the beach for the last 2 games, but strangely chose to show up instead.

Surely by far the biggest city with only one football league team, so the potential is certainly there.
Amazing how many more Leeds shirts there are around compared to a couple of weeks ago. Mostly the grey and pink away one, which is very smart, though seems odd after all the stick they gave us over a pink shirt.

How do you know you can afford more than us? We have been in the Premier League for the last three seasons. You have only just come up.
As for loaning him out, that happens all the time. It is a way of developing him so he's ready to play for us.

I do find that argument bizarre, as footballers rarely stay at clubs these days because of their mates, it’s all a bit 1970’s.
I’m fairly sure Brighton could comfortably compete with Leeds wage wise, but we have a structure.
As for loaning him out, that is what progressive clubs do these days. It’s good Leeds have continued his development, but in reality that is no different to Newport County or Peterborough.
There seems to be a lot of clutching at straws going on, but he’s under contract so everything is in Brighton’s hands.
