Webster. The adjustment in quality between the championship and this league, particularly for defenders is really tough, as Webster himself found out after being the best defender in the championship la at year. White has had a fantastic season, but don’t get carried away on hype, he’s young and unproven.
That being said I like it when we play 3 at the back and press as we did against Southampton, but fitness meant we couldn’t sustain it.

I think White is destined to be a DMF for us, a position that we don’t have the riches we do at CB. Leeds played him at CB cos they loaned him in to fill that position, we need him to fill a different position. He would still be cover for CB, if needed. Also, his heading is said to be his weakness, DMF would negate that to a certain extent.

Never seen White play. It would seem a bit of a leap of faith for him to get my vote.

I must say, I would love to see either White or Webster try out the CDM role. White played the position the other day pretty seamlessly, but also Webster when he used to go on those marauding runs through midfield (City and Chelsea?)

I think this is the goal with Lam and Burn as wingbacks. I think we need to be better in midfield though to allow this to happen.
