Out of interest, do you ever have anything positive to say about the club or any players?. I've never seen anything

Yes, clearly you are being very selective on which posts you choose to read, just picking out the negative ones.

Lamptey excellent, could turn out to be world class, a bargain, been saying this since his debut

In my opinion Pröpper is overrated.

Can’t believe he plays for Holland

This day and age anyone can get a cap. Andy Sinton, Keith Curle, Carlton Palmer and Geoff Thomas all played for their country. Propper belongs with the other cardboard cut outs up in the stand.

Pröpper has been poor for a while, still his record stands before him 97 app 2 goals feck all assists.:ffsparr:

Hughton and Potter seem to have played the guy as a defensive midfielder very strange, he is always found prancing around our 18 yard line doing feck all.

I could be wrong but doesn't he adorn the number 10 for the Netherlands and plays a more attacking role?

Propper is never a DM, perhaps GP listened to all the bitching about what a bad player Stephens is. It’s a specialist position, for 90 minutes the sole purpose being to sniff out danger and pass it simple to creators, requiring total concentration and staying in position. Only Stephens and possibly Bissouma have it in them.

Been poor for quite a while now, certainly the second half of the season. Tends to be missed by many fans who feel that Stephens should be the whipping boy. Until we can find a good defensive midfielder capable of doung the ugly stuff we need Stephens in there.

The umpteenth time he gave the ball away you mean?

Yep. And not for the first match this season. Shocker against Leicester which gifted them goal.

That’s cool. So let’s discuss rather than personal attacks... what do you think of Propper and Ryan?

I’m not bothered.....it’s all opinions. We get battered by a billion pound squad of top internationals and suddenly all our squad are league one at best and we need a complete overhaul.......

Lots of fickle f*****s on here. I try to keep some perspective.

You had no personal attacks. There were people disagreeing with you. Nothing personal

As for Ryan and Propper, they are still far from the first players we should be looking to upgrade this summer. But I am basing that on the whole season, not Liverpool and Man City home

I agree with him, and any criticism of Propper is slammed down on NSC, and with regards to Ryan, a good goalkeeper, but who will also kick the ball out for a throw in once or twice a game and is not good with his feet. This is Championship quality.

Burnley got a worthy draw with Liverpool today and Southampton beat Man City so they are not as untouchable as we have made them look. The least I expect is for us to be competitive even if we lose.

I'm not even confident that we will get any points from the Southampton and Burnley games based on recent performances against the same sides.

Player has a bad game against one of the best teams in the world. OH NO WHAT WILL WE DO!?
Seriously listen to yourselves you bunch of whining two year olds. FFS get a grip.

Really all it does is highlight what he's been doing for a long time and getting away with it.

He's clearly not s***. Davy has had some terrific games for us. The problem is, that I can't remember the last one. He's been brilliant and desperately poor in equal measure in his time at the club.

I believe he'll move on in the summer. If i'm right, he'll go with my best wishes, gratitude and i'm sure he'll have a decent career.

Mate wake up, Pröpper has been poor for a while. Seriously, stop defending him. 97 app. 2 goals. feck all assists.

Potter and Hughton have played the guy out of position for some crazy reason.

What annoys me is Propper is a great take/turn/passer Of the ball, and excels when playing ahead of midfield behind a striker. . . We've never done that . . .but when he plays for his country . . . . He's not a defender.

As a club we have excelled in acquiring players with talent/skill in certain positions, then seemingly ruining them By making them do things they can't by playing them in opposing positions!

But I don’t think this thread is regards the result tonight. (You really think everyone here is that fickle? A touch arrogant, I see opinions of genuine fans..)

Propper has somehow been our first choice CM the past few seasons, and has largely underperformed and struggled this year adapting to Potters philosophy.

If we want to go forward in this cut throat League we can do better.

No...not everyone, just ‘some’ as my post says. Try a mirror if you’re looking for arrogance.

It’s not losing , it is the performance, tonight was a disgrace , no effort , no passion, no fight , and to stop making so many mistakes , if they did this most supporters would be ok

Yes it was very poor.....if there’s no reaction (change) in the last 3 games I’ll be wading into Potter & the squad as well. Think this was seen as one to take up the rear end with little or no chance of a result (leaving Maupay and Lamptey out confirmed that)...........

It’s clear he’s not a defensive midfielder, all I ever hear about Propper is how well he plays for Holland, where he plays a lot further forward in the 10 role. Bissoumma was so much better tonight with 3 or 4 players around him and would still keep the ball.

Southampton beat Man City. On another day they could have been beaten 5-0.
We got a clean sheet against Leicester they got beat 9-0.
I’m disappointed about tonight but overall we’ve done well since the restart. Hopefully we will play well against them.
