[Football] £10 Fine for a Premier League booking

I've just read that if a player gets booked in the Premier League that they get fined £10.

If this amount is accurate does anyone know if the tenner is actually deducted from their wages?

It is purely an admin fee by the FA for the processing that applies at all levels.

Yes comes out off their payslip. That or they wheel a wheel barrow full of pennies to St George's Park

So basically there is hardly any disincentive from making a professional foul. Beggars belief!

Crikes, a tenner, that's a big ask in these difficult times.

Dread to think what a red card would cost these poor hard-up soccer players ...
