They're not going into administration.

What makes you say that ?

If they do go into administration, do they get a 9 point deduction for the ground sale, plus 12 points deducted for administration?

a galaxy far far away
Hope they don’t

First sensible reply of the thread.

Wednesday had maxed out the credit card before Covid 19. The future looks bleak now that they've clearly failed to get the promotion they've thrown the kitchen sink at.

All they are left with is mediocre players on massive contracts.

Wednesday have been flirting with this for a few years now, they have been big spenders for a Championship team, always thought they couldn’t justify their outlay.

TBH you could probably have half the championship up on charges.

The alleged Massive fraud/lie is unique and an incredibly easy one to prove.

At the same time, the accounting treatment‘s timing was illegal in company law terms, so not just a breach of football FFP regulations.

It’s not the fans fault, so I do have some sympathy for them. What a MASSIVE let down.

I agree with Mackenzie. I'd rather see them massively tumble down the leagues, never to be seen again, on merit.

I think we're begining to see a pattern emerge of the same clubs yoyoing between Prem and Championship while fallen giants flounder without parachute payments.

If Bmuff, Villa and Narch go down you'd expect two of then to come back up, while Leeds, WBA, Fulham and Brentford will have to spend some serious cash as they all look well short of Prem quality to me.

Meanwhile, Forest, Derby, Massive, Blackburn, Brum look like missing out again, while Ipswich, Sunderland and Pompey have disappeared without trace.

Pompey were threatening a resurgence until Oxford (yes, Oxford) pegged them back.

There’s also been a geographical/historical change going on for a while now. Some of those clubs replaced, on the flip side, by annoying southern clubs ‘getting above their station’ and stealing their entitled place at the top table - BHAFC, Watford, CP, Fulham and Bmuff. In the twentieth century, those 5 clubs were not top flight stalwarts.

Robbing Leeds, Forest, Massive, Sunderland and Derby of their rightful division.
