There are plenty of quotes out there where it's stated Hughton worked with the recruitment team that were in place and had the final say on all players. You're good at Google. Go find your own evidence if you're that bothered. It was also discussed on Albion fan podcasts such as Albion Roar with the relevant players (inlcuding at varying times Barber, Bloom and the recruitment team) but as you're not an Albion fan you won't have listened in.

Nevertheless you've ignored my second paragraph completely. Either Hughton gets credit for getting in Kayal for around 300k (our best player when we stayed up initially), getting Knockaert for around 2 million and bringing in players of PL quality (in the Championship) e.g. Murray and Duffy AND takes responsibility for our so called below quality squad, or you credit our recruitment team on their own with those deals that got us out of the Championship. You can't have it both ways but, with your agenda and narrative, you will.

Also - GB - a word of caution - be extremely careful about declaring what is and is not 'absolute FACT' - there are only two absolute FACTS in todays world - death and taxes.

I think Sir Philip Green and Jeff Bezos might not agree about the taxes part. But the first part is nonsense. A person's job title is a person's job title and it's a fact. Boris Johnson is Prime Miinister. FACT. Pritti Patel is Home Secretary. FACT. You are an annoying bellend with too much time on your hands. FACT.

I haven’t seen any of these reports that CH did not pick the players that were signed when he was manager. Got any links to reputable reports and are you really calling Bloom out as a liar?

But (and it's taken a while) he's going on my HWT style "IGNORE" list.

Every manager at a newly promoted club to the Premier league has the same task, including teams already established, but are a bottom half team is to avoid relegation.
C H did a brilliant job in doing that in our first season, Up to Christmas last season we were looking good for a top half finish. Something happened and we started to go on a bad run. That happens, but what I do not understand what our tactics were at the end of the season. 5 of our last six home games were against sides around us, all fighting for relegation, out of those games we managed 4 points, beating Huddersfield in a dour game 1 nil and a 1 all draw against Newcastle. We lost to Southampton with 2 shots in the whole game, Bournemouth 5 nil, 1 shot on goal, remember Bournemouth were on a long winless streak.Cardiff 2 nil, 2 shots on goal. Newcastle drew 1 all, 2 shots on goal. Thankfully Palace beat Cardiff to secure our survival.

After the Cardiff game I spoke to two players who told me the instructions were do not concede and that is what they done in training, I was also informed that some of the forwards were not happy as there was little attacking training I believe that this was also reported in the media.during this period we played Wolves. 32% possession no shots, I remember we were then named as an anti football side by many in the media. We also played Spurs, 22% procession defended for our lives, even the Spurs fans turned against C H.
The day after Palace secured our place in the Premier for another season we played Arsenal and got a deserved draw, mainly because we attacked them. Many a manager would have been sacked before these games. We were capable of some good attacking play.
T B and the rest of the board don't want us to be a yoyo club, or one that has little ambition to push on. Unfortunately I think that is where C H has his limitation. What is telling is a year after losing his job with us, he has not taken another managers job. Maybe they see him as the man to take clubs up to the Premier league but that is that.

Bmuff - came to the Amex with a record of 11 losses from their last 12 away games, the week before they lost at home to Burnley.

Since the off I have been accused of being a supporter of another club (something like 50 of them at this stage) - with zero evidence other than I happen to have a different opinion on some topics to some other people on here (and apparently because I have the word 'red' in my username). For some reason or other, some people thing it is perfectly fine to hurl abuse and engage in name-calling etc because I happen to disagree with them. Doesn't bother me - I have a pretty thick skin - but I do not entertain those kind of antics. Since I joined the forum I have done my best to treat everyone on this forum with respect and it is reasonable to suggest that my opinions should be treated in the same fashion without my motivations being questioned every time I express a contrary point of view - but that is clearly a little too much to expect from some people on here.
