Earlier this season I saw a Facebook post by a mate of mine talking about arriving at the Amex. I was still at home blithely unaware the kick off was 12.30. I shouted at my other half that we needed to go asap, if not sooner.
We made it with 5 minutes to spare. I told my mate I’d buy him a pint.

I missed attending the 5-0 thrashing of Orient, New Year 2011, for precisely that dozy reason. And I only live a 5 minute stroll to Withdean.
