Another lockdown looms for all of us this winter if it revisits like the they are warning us it will

Heaven forbid that we get a bad 'second wave'.
Of course, nobody knows for sure what will happen, but one thing is certain, we can't afford to have a full lockdown of the country again.

Obviously not dodgy in the slightest...

Hospital data on coronavirus patients will now be rerouted to the Trump administration instead of first being sent to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Department of Health and Human Services confirmed to CNN on Tuesday.

The move could make data less transparent to the public at a time when the administration is downplaying the spread of the pandemic, and threatens to undermine public confidence that medical data is being presented free of political interference.

Michael Caputo, the assistant secretary for public affairs at the department, confirmed the change first reported by The New York Times earlier in the day, saying in a statement that the "new faster and complete data system is what our nation needs to defeat the coronavirus and the CDC, an operating division of HHS, will certainly participate in this streamlined all-of-government response. They will simply no longer control it."

The Times said hospitals are to begin reporting the data to HHS today, noting also that the "database that will receive new information is not open to the public, which could affect the work of scores of researchers, modelers and health officials who rely on C.D.C. data to make projections and crucial decisions."

Getting more like China or Russia by the week.

Hopefully John Hopkins University can still somehow source the true data from every state.

Bloody hell ! That is genuinely incredible ! Fully expecting Worldometer data to show the new infection rate tailing off considerably from now on. Brilliant solution to the problem by Trump, tragic for ordinary Americans.

It just gets crazier by the day -- in other news, some republican states that have been following Trump's lead and refusing to do really anything at all, have imposed mask mandates today;

Alabama - mask now required with very right wing governor stating "We’re almost to the point where our hospital ICUs are overwhelmed" and "I always prefer personal responsibility over a government mandate"

Walmart - biggest retailer in the US now requires a mask for entry, along with Starbucks. We await the videos of fighting at the entrances as people refuse and try to get their 2 minutes of fame for being a ****ing selfish asshole.

Oklahoma - the governor who has resisted a mask mandate and has one of the most aggressive reopening plans posted photos on his twitter eating inside restaurants with his family and attended Trump's Tulsa rally sans mask, has now tested positive for Covid.

Looks like daily New Cases are set to hit a new milestone of 75k a day in the next few days. Fauci's fault apparently.

Na, if Trump now has control over the new case and fatality numbers the rate will probably show a massive drop overnight. He personally has the virus on the run.

The disloyal backstabber has been opening bitching about Dr Fauci for a while now.

Patently angry because the scientist ..... stuck to the science.

Trump needs to be surrounded by yes men.
If anyone dares to say hang on let's reconsider, they are either turned upon or fired.
His latest press secretary is a perfect example.

I imagine she prays to a picture of Trump 3 times a day!
Sycophantic is not really enough to describe her.

Here we go....

Coronavirus hospital data removed from CDC website following Trump plan to reroute information

Following the Trump administration’s decision to reroute coronavirus hospital data first to the administration, instead of sending it to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, some data is no longer available on the CDC.gov website.

The information removed from the website is the hospital data that was reported to the CDC’s National Healthcare Safety Network, according to CDC spokesperson Kristen Nordlund.

The data includes...

- the current inpatient and intensive care unit bed occupancy
- Health care worker staffing
- Personal protective equipment supply status and availability

The information appeared on the National Healthcare Safety Network Covid-19 module page and the CDC’s Covid-19 data tracker.

In other news from this great nation today;

https://thehill.com/homenews/state-...-overrides-all-local-mask-orders-in-the-state

Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp (R) is prohibiting local municipalities across the state from mandating that masks be worn in public to mitigate the spread of the coronavirus.

Kemp’s executive order issued Wednesday prevents local governments from enforcing mandatory face-covering orders that are more restrictive than the current statewide order. The move effectively voided orders issued by at least 15 local governments across the state, according to The Associated Press.

Rather than imposing a mandatory requirement, Kemp’s order states that residents and visitors in the state are “strongly encouraged to wear face coverings as practicable” when in public except when eating, drinking or exercising outdoors.

Candice Broce, a spokesperson for Kemp, doubled down on the governor’s stance that local orders are “unenforceable.”

“Previous executive orders — and now this order — state no local action can be more or less restrictive than ours. We have explained that local mask mandates are unenforceable. The Governor continues to strongly encourage Georgians to wear masks in public,” Broce tweeted.

78000 new cases  Looks like that 100k cases per day prediction that many scoffed at, might well be reached.

The epidemic curves in Trump’s heart(less)land, look very different from those in the rest of the developed world. There’s no dip slope to the right. Highlighting his continued incompetence.

The epidemic curves in Trump’s heart(less)

It is much worse than this - the Trump administration have consciously abandoned testing in April because they wanted to blame the Democratic governors for the deaths in the 'blue' states. Now, while deaths continue to increase, people are waiting two weeks for test results (which defeats the whole purpose of testing).

Trump and the rest of his acolytes should be strung up by the balls for causing tens of thousands of unnecessary deaths in the USA.

To quote Trump in his latest TV interview and asked about the huge numbers of cases and deaths in the US.... " It is what it is"

I know. 160,000 deaths, the Commander in Chief was powerless to ameliorate effect of CV19.

That makes perfect sense.

Trump would reply to that like this......... " look, we looked in to it and we don't have enough Amelliorate for everybody but, bleach is good to so if you can't get Amelliorate you can use that.. "
