[Albion] Can we play every summer?

An interesting point made by Gary Neville toward the end of Man Utd's game this evening was about how in summer games possession is vital and makes the difference, citing games at major tournaments and how tiring it is to chase. Our game now is built around retaining possession now much more than it has been at any other point in the Premier League, and I think our positive restart could well be in part down to this.

So can we just ask everyone to ditch that ridiculous stuff November to February and play in summer like Scandinavia does instead?

I'll answer when the season is over !

That said, it wouldn't work. Football is a winter game here. The Sweden model would be out of necessity.

I agree. But:

34% possession against Leicester (0-0)
41% against Arsenal (2-1)

43% against Wolves (0-0)
67% against Palace (0-1) before the break
