Means he wont be banned for their games vs Southampton and Norwich,

Hopefully Arsenal bounce back and take 6 points from those fixtures

Oh, so VAR saw it and said it was OK - splendid stuff chaps, Arsenal player won't get suspended and all is well with the world!...................don't they realise Arsenal aren't a big team any more?

Pity VAR wasn't so alert when Olly Norwood scored, eh?

Not bothered...3 points, move on!

I am a little bothered because it implies a level of justification and that in turn suggests that Maupay provoked the assault.

(Which I suppose he did, but until wonderfully choreographed last minute goals are banned it's irrelevant.)

Not sure how he’s got away with that. Clearly grabbed Maupay round the throat. If it was the other way round it would be at least a 1 game ban.

On the one hand this shouldn’t be an issue at all; we won and Guendouzi will now be available against our rivals.

On the other hand (the one Guendouzi had around Maupay’s throat), it is an issue, as if the boot had been on the other foot, Maupay would be looking at a three match ban minimum.

That's just ****ing ridiculous.

Nearly as bad as when Newcastle had 2 red cards overturned for one game.
We have consistently had all of ours rejected.

The authorities appear VERY selective in the situations VAR is used. Both times you mention, the decision comes out in favour of the 'big' club.

Like some have pointed out it's great as it means he's available against Southampton and Norwich.

On the other hand, what an absolute joke.

Equally our fault apparently. What a load of tosh

An FA statement confirmed: "Brighton and Hove Albion FC and Arsenal FC have been warned and reminded of their responsibilities following a mass confrontation between their players at the end of the Premier League fixture on Saturday.

"In addition, Matteo Guendouzi’s conduct during this incident was not seen by the match officials at the time, but it was subsequently reviewed by the VAR, so he will face no further action."

Who cares at the end of the day. Our business with Arsenal is done so probably best they are now as equipped as possible to get points off our rivals.

Gwen Doozy's got away with one there.
Sadly it won't stop the gooners from crying into microphones and targeting Maupay, Shawcross style, for the next 10 years.

Nothing actually surprises me anymore concerning professional footballs governing bodies , they make it up as they go along and this one is a doozy .
Its violent conduct so punishable , it's not punished ??? , looney tunes at Football HQ strikes again .

Whenever there is an on-pitch brawl after the final whistle those involved will be able to point to the lack of intervention by VAT and today's decision as a precedent.
