I’m a fan, plenty aren’t, what do you reckon?

It is part of the club’s constitution that we have to have a right back in the squad that’s a bit of a ledge. So yes.

3 posts in a row on the same subject.

I don't see how you can love football and take against El Greyhoundo.

Pierce yesterday on MotD 'Schelotto hasn't got back into position'.
I'm thinking 'classic - I wonder if he's actually on that side of the pitch'.

NW has nailed it.

I'm a fan of Monty, but he's just a right back.
Ezequiel Matías Schelotto is an Albion right back.

I think he’s great. I don’t think anyone has a clue what he’s going to do, including the opposition, and for that reason I’m firmly in favour of giving him a new contract.

Deserves a new contract for his man of the match performance against Zaha from the subs bench.

Tbh, I'd give him a new deal anyway as we'll be slashing the summer transfer budget and it'd save some money.

We have Lampty waiting in the wings. The greyhound is a legend but is he good enough for the Premier?

After 3 years of being at the club, he has not made the RB slot his own.
Considering he is 31 and there are two other right backs in the squad (Montoya and Lamptey), and Alzate can also play there, I suggest that keeping him would be a waste of the wage budget.

Booooo

This isn't a thread for logic and statement of facts.

This is a thread about Schelotto.

Love the bloke, may not be the best player but gives it his all, and seems like a likable bloke. He cemented his legendary status after the Palace game and winding up Zaha however I don't think he'll be with us next season. Might be offered terms but he could go elsewhere and play more and I suspect after his injury problems and his age he may want that more. I will be more than happy to see him sign a new contract though.

Like him and Montoya. But like a number of our players who have done pretty well (Burn, Propper possibly, Kayal, Gross possibly, March possibly etc etc) if we want to move on to the next level we have to look at upgrading on these players. Too many gaps again yesterday at times unfortunately.

Reminds me of John Crumplin football genius. People from a younger generation wont get that.

He absolutely didn't look out of place yesterday. Against Arsenal. Of course he should be offered a new contract.
