Hot news from up the road. Long-serving Palace mascot Kayla the Eagle has departed this earth. She is an ex-Eagle. Brown bread. Gone to meet her maker.

There's even a 6-page tribute thread on the BBS. See post 45 for details.

No doubt specially trained grief counsellors are on hand, with local taxidermists already bidding for the honour of mounting and stuffing her.

No flowers by request. But the referee at the Vitality Stadium tomorrow evening should surely be calling for a minute's silence. Which shouldn't be too difficut to achieve.

RIP Kayla. No longer to soar over majestic Selhurst Park, admiring the unbelievable sights beneath your golden wings.

With Parish looking more and more like an Eagle as he grows older, why not kit the spiv out in tights and feathers and he can flap around pre-kick off entertaining the dribbling hordes?

I’ve spent the best part of last week searching for an example of a match played where both teams lose. I’ve not been able to find one, so.....

We can both agree that Howe & Bournemouth’s treatment of Glenn Murray was a national disgrace. We can both agree that Howe’s smug face is so much more palatable without the grin. We can both hopefully agree that Bournemouth are better off in the football league from the perspective of most right thinking fans, whatever colours they wear.
