Free school meals will be available to all primary school children in England, under a £610m-a-year plan unveiled by the Liberal Democrats.

Infant school pupils are already entitled to a free meal under a policy championed by leader Nick Clegg and introduced in September last year.

But Mr Clegg wants seven to 11-year-olds to also benefit from 2017/18.

Following his shambolic performance at PMQs, Johnson put in a (rare) appearance at the Commons' Liaison Committee. If anything he was even worse than he was at PMQs insofar as he couldn't bait the questioner, had no audience to play to and was required to display some detailed knowledge of his own policies. This is not his strength and he riffed his way through it, totally unable to answer just about any question. Yvette Cooper did the skewering this time on the new Brazilian strain COVID and the shameful lack of action on behalf of his pathetic government.

Disgusting, if not unexpected.

Whilst jobs, businesses and whole industries are going down the pan because of the ridiculous 'deal' they negotiated, they are ignoring all of this and pushing through their de-regulation agenda as quick as they can under the cover of Covid.

At least people knew what they were voting for :shootself
