IF folk can't understand why 'all lives matter' is the wrong response then it is simply explained.
It's called context. All lives do matter. But if the statement is used after someone says 'black lives matter' then it is used as a counter argument.

Interesting , I applied for a job as a grounds man on a local golf course to me on 3 separate occasions, never had a reply , I go by a alias on Facebook and regularly comment on the golf clubs group page so I'm virtually well known on it .
In February this year the club flooded and I went up to see if I could help out , I did a few bits got to know the assistant manager , got chatting about the greens ect and he said blimey we could of done with you last spring , when I told him I applied 3 times he looked puzzled and explained he vetted all the applications and couldn't remember getting mine , when I told him my real surname which is a little unusual he just blurted out , oh that's why I binned it , I just thought you were a student at the University or something!
FFS he didn't even bother looking at my age , I'm not sure that's actually racist but more a subconscious trigger of past bad experiences with Uni Students but its disappointing and I expressed my disappointment to him and he apologised.
My take on it was just piss poor management rather than racism but it did make me think how many people get their applications binned because their surnames don't look "BRITISH " enough .
Anyway their loss the greens are still shyte
No. If you want to pedant the crap out of ‘Black Lives Matters’ with the response ‘All Lives Matter’, you are really missing the point and in doing so, feeding the insidious beast of white privilege and demonstrating that protest and revolutionary change is needed.
I’m sure you’re not, but you can come across as a bit of a closet racist by trying to pedant the crap out of ‘ Black Lives Matters’.

Binning applications based on names certainly seems discriminatory. Boggles the mind that shit like this goes on.

All I care about is that any planned marches today don't result in the R number going up. We have lost enough people over the last few months, so in this case All Lives Matter.

One of my best ever employee’s was a Black man went above and beyond, customers started to request him after a while as he was very good at this job. All those in the Police, in recruitment, business owners is not be a sheep. When you look at Policing there always seems to be a ring leader in the unpleasant situations, stand up against that ring leader who is also probably a bully. As individuals we can make the biggest change than a protest ever can.

There's another side to this, though. I have an annual appointment with a specialised nurse (who also treats 'ordinary' patients) to deal with my COPD. Last time I went I found the nurse, a pleasant hepful and caring (white) woman approaching 50 who's worked all her life in the NHS, in tears. She'd just seen a patient suffering from a heavy cold who'd demanded antibiotics. When it was pointed out to the patient that they wouldn't work and weren't necessary the young black patient accused the nurse of racism in an aggressive and unpleasant way. Apparently she had to be asked to leave the surgery. Nothing could be further from the truth with the nurse or indeed any of the doctors and other nurses there. My own GP is a migrant from India and a practising muslim, as are two of the other five doctors. The rest of the nurses there come from all over.
It works both ways.. And the answer is not, I suggest, causing problems in city centres. Surely its education? And example - black players in, for example, cricket and football, have made enormous strides in gaining acceptance. Remember how Joffra Archer was cheered last year?

Yes. Adding a too would make it very clear who the racists are. Nowhere for them to hide.

I used to live in Cavendish Place and a black friend passed by for a cup of tea as he had just been to view a flat in Oriental Place that he had rung about an hour earlier and invited to view. Woman answered the door and told him it was taken. Me being me, said come, lets try again. He stayed out of sight, and I rang door and said I had heard about the available flat. By some miracle it was available, shouted to mate and told him he must have been mistaken. She saw him, went bright red and slammed the door in my face
