I watched the documentary 13th on Netflix and it has challenged my first thoughts of the incident. It doesn't matter about Mr Floyd's history it's yet another in a long line of unnecessary deaths that wouldn't happen to a white man (except I've just seen the video of Tony Timpa)

It just demonstrated the bad practice the police use in the US. Did you have an issue with it?

Your reply prompted me to search for the Tony Timpa issue, and there are many on Twitter (of all backgrounds) saying that maybe the incident with him and others shows there is a general problem with police brutality in the USA, and not just limited to race.

To be fair and balanced, there is also some of what HWT would call "whataboutery" in some instances. However, there are also instances when that is used to deflect having to take onboard facts that may require a re-think in the person's original opinion.

Don't you just love it? I think the more methods humans have to communicate with each other (and at faster speed) the more polarised and angry they become. I also find it bewildering how quickly a narrative becomes accepted as a cause you must support.

Violence is not the answer. It damages the cause. Any sympathy that BLM generates quickly starts to disappear once the inevitable violence starts.
