Looking at the record of home teams in the Bundesliga, it’s certainly worth us giving this a go. Shove the blow up dolls in the stands too if that’ll give our players the oomph they need. I think we’ve got nothing to lose looking at the quality of our opponents.

According to Football Weekly's German correspondent, that's 'fake news'.

The Bundeslige is nowhere near the home field advantage of the EPL, even when packed to the rafters.

What's the comparison with the EPL?

Pretty much the same, I'd say...

Bundesliga
2018/19 - Home wins: 45%; Away wins: 31%
2017/18 - Home wins: 45%; Away wins: 27%
2016/17 - Home wins: 49%; Away wins: 27%
2015/16 - Home wins: 44%; Away wins: 33%

Premier League
2018/19 - Home wins: 48%; Away wins: 34%
2017/18 - Home wins: 46%; Away wins: 28%
2016/17 - Home wins: 49%; Away wins: 29%
2015/16 - Home wins: 41%; Away wins: 31%

Worth pointing out that it is forbidden to broadcast any crowd noise or cheering over the PA system. So you will need a rule change.
Surely though, the best option is to leave it to Sky. Somehow, on League 2 highlights, they seem to manage a noise equivalent to an away crowd of 3000 Crawley fans when they score at Plymouth.

Bundesliga home stadium advantage post lockdown (small sample) 14%, pre lockdown this season 44%.

Better get a new German Correspondent then Stato as it appears you’ve just fallen for some fake news yourself! [emoji23]

We could use a similar system outside hospitals, in the clap for carers. At least then, the people who it's targeted at, can actually hear it!

I'm currently cooking tea and listening to something else.

I'll dig out Archie Rhind-Tutt's quote later.
But with him being a Buderslige corespondent living in Germany, I have no reason to doubt him.
