True but for me this cover is better than Marvin Gaye’s version too. CCR were a fabulous band and most of their stuff still sounds good today. Fogerty was a prolific writer of great songs for a few years and their covers weren’t bad either. Susie Q being another good cover.

John Fogerty refused to perform it for many years until someone said to him ' do you want it to be known as that Tina Turner song?'.
In 2012, I saw Fogerty perform Rockin' All Over The World as a duet with The Boss.
He was supporting Springsteen at Hyde Park:

Always preferred this version which I brought in 1969, with Phil Spectors famous 'Wall of Sound' and what sounds like a full Gospel choir as backing.

"Almost Saturday Night" is my favourite of his, covered quite a lot with this one being the best imho - short and sweet.

I can still remember the first time I heard Proud Mary, in the 60s on the Emperor Rosko show on a Saturday lunchtime. The man’s got a tremendous voice.
