[Technology] Printer!

I need a basic printer, but they are sold out everywhere. It's impossibe to get hold of one at Currys, Argos etc...

Has anyone in Brighton got one that they no longer use, that works, and that they wouldn't mind socially-distance-selling to me (I'll collect)?

Long shot, but you never know...

If not I have one if you can be arsed to drive to Crowborough.......it needs ink which is why I'm happy to get rid of it.

I bought it when I moved home 3 years ago as I need to print out various bits and bobs to sign. Hasn't been used since. But that one time use used all the black ink. I bought some of the cheapo ink from Amazon but it doesn't like it. The comments on the Amazon page seem to suggest you need to buy the official Epson stuff.

I've got one you can have but I'm in Godalming. It's a Canon MX475,possibly wireless.My brother gave it to me a couple of years ago, I've never used it but it would have worked then It may need some sort of pairing/setting up but that's beyond me. Google it if it's of interest,I may be able to meet you part way if you want it.

Thanks a lot - that sounds like the sort of problem I have always had with printers (ink running out, problems replacing it etc...)

I will try elsewhere for now, but if I really struggle I'll get in touch if that'sokay with you!

That's kind, but it's loads of payslips etc. - stuff that I can't email...I think. All sorts of documents for remortgaging!

Knew a printer would be useful before the lock down. I've relied on the library which is a few door away.

Used it print pre-paid mail labels so I can send stuff to relatives without going to the post office.

Used it today to print an emailed prescription for antibiotics cos I need a filling.

Got a HP LaserJet Pro M15w

Black and White wireless, does the job and tiny footprint.

Could always get a new, 'free' one from IJT.....just Google them, they delivered one to me in Spain last week, and it only took 6 days to arrive.
