Well, this is odd. If I was ever in any doubt, after 15 minutes I know I really dislike behind closed doors football. It is so hard to keep your attention on the game, and the whole thing looks...utterly sterile.

This is supposed to be one of Germany's biggest derbies.

A great player, but McMananaman is a boring and overly chatty co-commentator. As many of them are.

Without crowd noise, it’s more noticeable. We’ll have to get used to this over the next couple of years. The insufferable Darren Fletcher (the loudmouth from Nottingham), Jonathon Pearce and Jenas. Dropping the volume a must.

Agree but I do still think it’s watchable. You can hear how crisp the one touch passing is.

I must admit, I thought the idea of piped crowd noise was horribly tinpot, but actually it worked pretty well for the K-league game. This sounds horrible.

‘Macca’ is an annoying whiny dick. We watch loads of Bundesliga here - annoyed they’ve felt the need to parachute in the ‘top’ team, rather than sticking with the commentators and pundits who usually do the league. He clearly only knows about 4 of the players, ffs

If you had a DJ/sound engineer/football fan who could 'play' crowd noise to match the rhythm of the game, then piped-in crowd racket could work.

Agree. Love the way he kept moaning about the slow pace at the start of the game. Not sure what he was expecting considering the conditions of the game!

I was also thinking how boring it was and then the goal spiced things up a bit.
It still only 4 out of 10 for me, but I’ll persevere with it.

The Premier League games would obviously be more interesting as we know more of the players.

The same here, plus we also watch a lot of CL/EL, where sadly Macca features highly.

Agreed, keep the Bundesliga specialists.

What a complete load of boring tripe....and they were bigging up the derby element of this game being 17 miles apart......just proves football is nothing without fans...especially derbies....oh McManamon gets on my nerves as well.
