Just watched Francis Ford Coppola's The Conversation. It's the third time I've seen and it's a masterpiece - I think it's better than the Godfather and Apocalypse Now as he doesn't have a mad budget to blow. It's a good a thriller as you're likely to see, with one of the best casts you can imagine.

As an aside, has there ever been a better year for films than 1974?
The Godfather Part 2, The Conversation, Chinatown, Blazing Saddles, Young Frankenstein, Murder on the Orient Express, Lenny, Bring me the Head of Alfredo Garcia, The Taking of Pelham 1-2-3 and The Parallax View all came out that year.
