Millions will be heartbroken by change of plans - Labour leader

Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer says "millions of families will be heartbroken by having Christmas plans ripped up", after this evening's announcement by the prime minister.

Could have sworn that's the same bloke who demanded millions of families have their Christmas plans ripped up at PMQ's ...

WOW! over on this thread as well. straight up, are you just a partisan wum, or do you really not understand what starmer is saying?

Of course, you don't ... person A calls for a severe lockdown over Xmas ....when person B says we need to have a more severe lockdown over Xmas a few days later person A says "millions of families will be heartbroken by having Christmas plans ripped up", after this evening's announcement by the prime minister.

blimey :moo:

What a clown ! A rambling and shambling performance from Johnson again. I thought he was meant to be the Great Orator ? He tries to be so clever in answering any question that he ends up completely losing any sort of thread. It's almost cruel watching and listening to him, lord knows what will happen if Starmer ups a gear.

His goading of the SNP continues. 'Scottish Nationalist Party' came out again and he completely failed to answer the question posed on Scottish fisherman losing a million pounds a day. One can only assume he's willing to lose a referendum in Scotland.

Wait till May, a completely new problem will start and not go away

A seamless disaster from Covid to a full blown constitutional crisis

Boris's car crash weekly, my personal highlight this week was the speaker, again mentioning he should answer the question which he never does, cutting into his tirade of gibberish, telling him to stop rambling on about history and took a question from someone else, gold ! Did also like it when Boris used the fact Rashford shamed him into free school meals as a stick to beat Starmer with, saying he should scrutinise him more ! Surely a wind up !

Marvellous tubthumping by Johnson today, he really has totally given up on any pretence to actually answer a question unless its a pre-planned feed from a Tory apparatchik. One question roughly interpreted ended up with this as an answer "Thank goodness for the financial acumen the Tories have shown over the last few governments or else the country would be in a right mess "

Like a deficit of more than 100% of GDP?

Don't worry, they will claw that back in the usual ways.. stagnation of benefits, public service wage freezes, cuts to local government, you know, the usual methods... it would be bad for business if the likes of Rees-Mogg , lord Rothermere etc had to start paying taxes ...

Same old in today's PMQ's, unable to answer a question as usual, already told by the Speaker " may I remind the Prime Minister, it is Prime Minister's questions ".... desperately accusing Starmer of " trying to associate with the vaccine as I think he has seen how successfully this is going... "
