There is a graph in this BBC report, could someone please be so kind as to extrapolate what the fxxk it is actually demonstrating.

Is or percentages? Is it thousands? Is it those infected? Is it death figures? Is it the amount of No. 1 singles?

The title and subtitle of the graph tell you what it is showing: Hospital deaths, by ethnicity, per 100,000 population.

So, for instance, 49 ethnically black people are dying in hospital per 100,000 ethnically black people, which is approaching almost twice the rate of white people (at 27 per 100,000).

You could, of course, convert those numbers into percentages if you wanted to: 0.049% and 0.027%

Thank you.

Not sure the subtitle was there when I made the original post.

think the real question is who is in this "other" group, makes the the graph and any conclusions dubious.

Amongst the non-black, Asian, white etc, I imagine there’s a fair bit of missing data in that group given the subject matter.

As the graph is a simple descriptive bar chart. It’s a starting point; no one is making any final conclusions from it. If you read the article this is quite clear.
