I used to wash his car as a kid when he lived down the road from me in Coldean. His was the first to have a swimming pool in the garden (knowing Coldean, it probably still is!) and my sister and I used to have a great time in it with his kids.

An old school knocker boy, he was constantly 'away' when we were growing up but, as the OP says, he was a huge Albion fan and will be sadly missed.

Very good point HBZ, he was a character, I was proud to count him as a friend, so as my dear old Mum used to say, re this thread, if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all.

There's nothing that would negate that as far as I'm aware. Paedophiles, wife beaters, cannibals etc would still be humans, fathers and husbands if they had been married and fathered kids.
