And- if you search Twitter from the time- you will see loads of Leeds fans claiming he, having only ever played Championship football, was worth in excess of £30m.

Really is stupid for them to not move on now as they have quite a few positions to fill. If they don't then they are having to earmark £30-35m for a player that they eventually won't get. They've already wasted two weeks of the window making bids all over Eurpope that have been rejected , including for Ben White. Pre season training starts now and so if they wait two/three weeks more they'll have a squad for the new season weaker than their squad last season. ( IE they haven't got White). Yep because their then manager, and former Brighton player, Howard Wilkinson brought Beeney from us for the amount we owed the tax man, they think we should forever be in their debt. Despite the club changing owners several times since then we should let our most promising youngster go because of something that happened nearly 30 years ago.

It’s a bit like going into HMV when they went into administration and picking up a few cheap CDs and now going in and expecting 50% off that 4K Blu Ray film you want to buy just cause you helped out a few years ago.

In fact one chap on twitter suggested the last bid would go in today and be accepted or they would admit defeat as the godlike Bielsa I sisted on players doing a full pre season

Honestly at this point I wouldn't be surprised if Radrizzani spoke to Bloom and explained that he has to look like he's trying everything otherwise the fans will eat him alive.

It's pantomime.

I'm pretty sure White would be fine playing at either club (being treated like a god at Leeds I'm sure was an amazing experience), although Bielsa hasn't signed a contract yet and will likely be gone in less than a year based on his track record, plus the fans can turn on White you in an instant.

Brighton are in the driver's seat contractually, and a 22yr old on the cusp of Premiership football isn't going risk ****ing up their career before it gets started, by kicking up a fuss.

Of course Ben will also have to be highly respectful to the Leeds fans. He wants to keep that support on social media and IRL. It's great for him as a player.

So who is going to be the fall guy? Big bad Brighton? Sorry I meant "small tinpot Brighton".

If that's a Bielsa condition then he'll be leaving on Monday.

They haven't signed anyone have they? Apart from 16yr olds, another loan, and converting a couple of loans.

Go get Juan Foyth.

Go get Malang Sarr.

Yes it would be nice to get White as he knows the system and did very well in the Championship but he isnt Maldini.

We arent talking about the best of the best, he is a talented young inexperienced cb who has shown he can do very well in the EFL.

We cant afford to spend 2, 3×s his actual value on what he might be, we have to value on what he is now which is what is above.

£18mil was more then fair, £22mil was bordering on daft, any more is ridiculous.
