It is not a nice phrase, but over the years exciting signings arrive at the club and play a handful of games . I saw Paul Kitsons name on another thread a will start with him as he was a big name and played only 10 games scoring 2 goals.

James Wilson seemed to be a particularly frail and poorly player, just never looked well and was prone to on-pitch projectile vomiting. Still reckon he had glandular fever. Or something else entirely...

Sam Baldock, such a key and important player for us, and really shone when he was fit, but he just seemed to be made of glass.

Kitson, as mentioned, and Kemy are 2 obvious ones.

I developed from boy to man in the time Steve Penney was out injured

Cheshire Cat

The most curious thing..
Did anyone ever find out which bit of Vincente was injured?

There was a big name player that we signed from Southampton that maybe played once. Another player was Martin Chivers who was out injured most of his time here.

Was Kemy actually injured, or just... well... ‘dealing with dietary issues’, shall we say?

Will Buckley. Although in comparison to his post-Albion career, he was consistently 100% fit in his 3 years at the Amex.

The away game at Reading when he made a return after a long absence was a hoot.
