How do you get back?

Also, not much use for international travel.

That's more of a Shelbyville idea.

So it's a plane, tethered to a track like a train ....... therefore why not just use say, a train?

Also how does it go up and down hills? Hmm....

Cuttings obviously.

The tether is extendable to enable the flying train to rise above the hills to the side of the cutting.

This is the future and we should all be demanding that Johnson ensures that the UK is at the forefront of this groundbreaking technology.

That's so boring. I wanted it to lurch violently towards the ground and then suddenly jerk back up like running along with a kite...

Can we also provide parachutes for fare dodgers?

I'm all for embracing future transportation, but I don't really get the point of a flying train, such as this. The whole point about flying cars is that you can still go wherever you like and you are relieving pressure off a congested road network on the ground. With this proposed solution, you need to build a whole new infrastructure that runs on fixed routes – with specific pickup/drop-off points – to replace something that is already there (i.e. the rail network).
