It is, however, the singly worst laid out supermarket I've ever had the misfortune to shop in. I'm not sure what it is, but it's just somehow *wrong*.

Isn't Three Bridges very similar? Low ceiling or something but very cramped. Similar vintage, perhaps...

(Did someone say it was Friday night?)

hence the lack of footage in a mobile phone age.
If you saw two men fighting over a pie, knocking into elderly people who ended up in a distressed state/potentially injured, your first reaction would be to pull your phone out and record it?

I shopped for my mother in Tesco Burgess Hill this morning and, despite the queues to get in and obvious frustrations, without exception, everyone, staff or customer alike was polite, friendly and patient.

Why on earth would (I assume adult men) fight over a tinned pie. It beggars belief.

Depends.

If it was Fray Bentos, it's going off.

Let’s broaden this.......... what pie would you risk getting a right hander for.....

I’d say a Chicken Balti is worth one.......

I wouldn’t fight over a sweet potato and veg one though.

Never mind this Pie nonsense, we are down to our last 30 or so Toilet Rolls and I will be kicking Arse if anyone gets in my way in Storrington Waitrose shortly...
