Spread bark which Mrs Earle stockpiled ready for lockdown.
Made soup with the extra veg which Mrs Earle stockpiled ready for lockdown.
Redecorated second bedroom with paint, new rollers and brushes which, you guessed it, Mrs Earle stockpiled ready for lockdown.

Laid a laminate floor in the dining room, started to decorate 1 of 2 bedrooms that I intend to do, I’ve sanded the woodwork and painted the ceiling,. I’ve made two wooden toys, 1 of which I pulled apart cos I thought of a better way of doing it. 54C8F703-6108-41ED-86A7-3E29F0832566.jpeg

lost weight, as have been doing more exercise and generally eating less

watched most of "lost" (although I'm starting to get bored)

50% of that show is people running through Jungle shouting "Jack!"

Ordered a new printer (rarely used printer needed upgrading, but would have kept putting it off, now will need it to work from home)
Cycled some new routes (usually stick just to commute, but replacing that with daily exercise bike rides has led to cycling routes I'm not that familiar with)
tidied (part of) my wardrobe
Caught up on some items that have been on my Tivo since October last year.

Repotted some plants and shrubberies, managing to kill the rarest and most prized of them.

Spent time with the family.

Did lots of jolly old work as most of mine can be done online. Had some jolly arguments with folk at work.

Got annoyed by people at work and people on NSC. Tried to be kind but largely failed.

Not too dissimilar to any couple of weeks, by and large.

Cheshire Cat

The most curious thing..
Some of us are actually still working.

I'm still working, but those breaks at work are now breaks at home that allow me to do more non-work stuff (we've also been encouraged to take more breaks if our home office set up isn't as office-like as OH would like). The commute is gone allowing me to start work earlier without having to get up earlier, and because I start early I can finish early, and with no commute home at the end of the work day, gives a bigger chunk of free time post-work.

*cough* Apart from the guilt, this business has also been nothing other than a win win for me too.

Till I get ill, obvs. *cough* ???

I've learnt that I didn't really need to learn Spanish, learn to meditate, clean out my garage, weed the garden, clean the bathroom, toilet or myself after all.....

Same. Still working full time for the time being (from home), so little spare time in the week.

At the weekend though, because my wife couldn't insist on trips out and about, I cleared two years of accumulated CRAP out of the garage.

This. I'm currently "enjoying" the daily ITV quiz trilogy of Tenable, Tipping Point & The Chase :lolol:

1. Cleared wardrobes and drawers of numerous clothes and shoes which have been languising unworn for the past ten years. We're now left with six full charity bags which we can't take anywhere and so have created more clutter than there would have been had we just left all their contents in their original wardrobes and drawers. I now envisage a task in the coming weeks will be to empty all the charity bags which are now cluttering up our floor space and return all their contents to all the places from which they originally came.

2. Emptied and cleaned the insides of our kitchen cupboards. Disposed of various jars of herbs and spices etc with best before dates some of which went back as far as 1999.

3. Established that a cable running along and disappearing into the wall was in fact an obsolete telephone cable. After establishing this to be the case I severed and removed said cable. I wondered if it served any vital purpose for quite a number of years.

4. General decluttering which uncovered the following:

a) A diary written by my wife in 1978 when she was in her late teens in which she actually used the phrase "coloured fella" over several entries which chronicled the romantic designs she had on some ...er... coloured fellow whom she regularly encountered on her daily bus commute. The ensuing diary enrtries give no indication that my wife's romantic designs were ever fulfilled as the relationship did not appear to progress beyond the exchanging of glances and smiles across the bus aisle.

b) A box containing a respectably small stash of porn circa 1993 which as well as the more mainstream titles also included the title "Asian Babes". It would appear that both my wife's any my previous tastes were leaning towards the exotic, but ultimately lacking in both emotional and physical intimacy. As a disclaimer I would like to add that I did not personally purchase any of the said porn but the circumstances by which they came into my possession do not need to be expanded on.

Following the discovery of the porn stash the productivity of my week took an unexpected and sudden downturn.

Seven days, I'm on Day 14 and working from home, so bugger all in the clearing my porn collection and sorting my wardrobe department!
