Cameroonian jazz musician Manu Dibango has died after contracting Covid-19. He was 86 and died in France, near Paris.

He is the first public figure I immediately knew by name who has died from the coronavirus. It follows the death of American actor Mark Blum who I also found out about today who I was familar with by the part he played but not actually by his name. I think we are going to start hearing the names of some more familar public figures in the coming weeks.

I always loved this track ("Big Blow") by Manu Dibango and have it on 12" vinyl. Also check out "Soul Makossa"

If my vinyl was in alphabetical order I'd get my copy out to play. Released back in '73 and so different to all the glam rock of the time.

You can now take advantage of your enforced confinement and spend the time productively by putting your vinyl in alphabetical order or by devising some other system which would facilitate vinyl location.
