If it helps, his hat-tricks were against:

- Besiktas (Champions League)
- Burnley (Premier League)
- Havant & Waterlooville (FA Cup)

I've looked it up. Not a name that would come straight to mind. I remember the Havant tie. Think they took the lead.

Only one player born in the 1950s has scored a PL hat trick. Who was he?

In terms of what statistic, did Brighton achieve their highest-ever ranking of 12th in the 1977/78 and 1979/80 seasons?

Average gate (nationally)?

Yeah, I'll give it to you. Average home league attendance. We came close to equalling it in our first season in the Premier League (13th) - although that of course was based on 'pretendances'.

Weird that even then we were regarded as a 'small club' - but we were the 12th best-supported team in the country. And one of those seasons we weren't even in the top flight.

Bobby Zamora famously, scored PL penalties with both feet. Who is the only other player to have done so?

Maybe BZ was trying to emulate somebody. He was a bit of a West Ham fan, was he not? ... so I'll go for Paulo Di Canio.
