I don't agree. I think it's a splendid idea. But the clubs could have sat down together and put the initiative across the board rather than being jolted by a single club to act in a certain way. I can see why some clubs could be miffed. It's not about being miserly, it's about not creating a 'holier than thou' situation. I can't see that any club wouldn't want to be part of this. Or at least I hope they all would.

If there isn't a club that doesn't want to be a part of it, what's the problem? If there is a club that doesn't want to be a part of it they won't get any worse press than they would from a 'Today 19 of the 20 premier league clubs each agreed to donate 1000 tickets to NHS staff, the one team that refused is...'. So it makes no difference, unless they don't want to do it and want to stop other clubs doing it so they don't look bad, in which case, screw them.
