21st December is 24 hours long.
29th March will be 23 hours as the clock goes forwards
I assume that's a joke. There is only one day this year with 23 hours in it....

With the hour of extra daylight the house will be that little bit warmer. Excellent news. I wish they would stop taking that extra hour away every autumn, though. What's the point of that? Especially when it's getting colder and darker anyway.
