People aged over 80 receiving a single dose of either the Pfizer or AstraZeneca COVID vaccine show equivalent antibody responses five weeks post vaccination. However, stronger cellular (T cell) responses were seen in people who had received the Oxford/AstraZeneca vaccine.

First sight of fans back at pro level English football is on Sunday - 4,000 at the FA Cup Semi final between Leicester and Soton.

My parents, in their 80’s, had their second Pfizer jabs today.

Mrs DCH is 46 and has just been invited to have her jab this weekend at the local surgery. Such great progress by all concerned.

47. Had my first at Brighton centre today. Been bombarded by the surgery all day with texts to book my first in Eastbourne asap

Good news today from ZOE app as we see another major fall in new cases 15% down to 1200 per day (last years summer low was ~850). Your risk of Covid now 1 in 2300 and 3-20 fold less if you have been vaccinated. Thanks for logging and providing the latest data !

Infections - 2,206, rolling 7 day down 6.5%
Deaths - 35, rolling 7 day down 29.1% - 180 for the week)
Admissions - 179, rolling 7 day down 12.8%
Jabs - 119k 1st and 485k 2nd, cumulative 32.7m and 9.4m
In Hospital - 2,186
