As an aside, I know Herbie Flowers, (playing bass), has had a long career in music, but a quick search revealed some amazing facts about the bands he's been in and the collaborations he's been a part of. I mention him as I believe he lives in the BN area, if you're interested have a look at this,

Andy Partridge is a very interesting character. As noted previously I saw XTC supporting Siouxie and the Banshees at the New Regent back in the day, and jolly good they were, too.

From 2013, but a deliberately 80's synth sound. Shawn Ward is FM Magic, he grew up listening to British synth wave.
An amazing song from one THE greatest albums. My Dad used to play the cartridge on an 8-track in our family car.
