Horrible disease, had a case of it recently with a relative and a dementia case before they. Robs the dignity of the individual.
Even physical illness is preferable to this

Very classy player. How Villa could do with his like now. 61 is no age; a terrible hand to be dealt.

Gordon Cowans was a classy player in a great Villa team. My ex was a Villa fan and I used to go up there a few times. Cowans didn't do a lot of heading from what I remember - always wanted the ball at his feet. Very sad.

Two holding midfield players v Cowans only one winner and it won't be Hendo and Thug. Class.player.
Tony Morley and young Gary Shaw also stood out in 1982, but Cowans went on to have an incredible career including in Serie A, playing until 1997. Pure class.

Took my dad to see them play us at the Goldstone ground when they won the league that year, think they won 1-0 but thay were a class side. What would the modern media ever of made of Ron Saunders?
