Sporadic incompetence and bottling it across the board, there’s no pattern. Why weren’t Lo Celso and Lundstram sent off? Basic stuff. VAR saved us at The Emirates when their equaliser was rightly ruled out by VAR. Dunk somehow not sent off Goodison after 5 minutes, no one knows why.

Separately, we spent the last 2 years slagging off the likes of Friend, hundreds of angry posts about the injustice of it all, it was certainly no NSC paradise. Allegations of corruption and bias. VAR has just added another level of bottle jobs and idiots.

Or maybe we could trial no offside. There would be goal hanging, which is why the offside rule came in. With faster fitter players it may not destroy the game. Worth a try? Perhaps.

If that rule could be brought in soon, Glenn will easily get the club scoring record! [emoji6]

Simple yes or no ( as well an “other” for the more pedantic amongst you )

“Just because you’re paranoid doesn’t mean they’re not after you” springs to mind

Personally think there is a big six (more actually these days) bias from refs and therefore it follows there will be one from ref operated VAR

Hopefully this helps. VAR table as of last week:

Brighton & Hove Albion +7
Manchester United +6
Crystal Palace +5
Leicester City +3
Southampton +3
AFC Bournemouth +2
Burnley +2
Liverpool +1
Newcastle +1
Tottenham Hotspur +1
Manchester City 0
Watford 0
Everton -1
Arsenal -2
Aston Villa -3
Chelsea -4
West Ham -4
Wolves -5
Norwich City -6
Sheffield United -6

No obvious bias.

Unless they like us.

This table doesn't really help, because it includes cases like arsenal and sheff Utd offside goals against us that were blatant, alongside decisions that were much more controversial.

Fwiw I think that ref's are much more likely to favour certain teams based on their level of indignation, look at man city's penalty yesterday where they surrounded the ref and got the VAR decision in their favour, whereas both Leicester and Brighton in very similar incidents didn't do that.

Just like Man U used to do, the top sides are very good at acting hard done by, probably because they are the most arrogant and entitled players around and it just comes naturally.

These figures include reviews that agree with the referees original decision and they always seem to review every goal of ours. It is only worth looking at figures where the decision was overturned and controversial or not consistant with previous decisions. I also would challenge the accuracy of these since they do not always inform the crowd or broadcasters that they are reviewing.

This chap has made more mistakes as a VAR ref than any other , 5 clear and retractable cock up's to date , how is it possible that he's still employed to make these blatantly obvious to everyone else mistakes ? i don't know but what a Coote .
