Cream certainly did a couple of Top Gear sessions that were aired October 1967 and January 1968, whether John Peel was hosting those shows I'm unsure

I shall never forget the night JP had a terrible sore throat and could hardly speak. But he did manage to announce that what he needed was for a Dutch schoolgirl to come and stick her tongue down his throat. Probably get fired for that these days.
