He was due to sign for us on loan under Dean Wilkins back in the day. Dick Knight blocked it.

Sorry and this isn't a dig at you BG, but why do people start threads on people we are not going to sign?

Shall I start one on Messi, as we're not going to sign him, either?

That's easy, the OP would rather bring an old 'name' into the conversation as he struggles to say anything positive about the current players and goes out of his way to belittle what the rest of us hope will be the 'next generation'.

Are there actually posts on here saying Adam Lallana is not good enough for us?! [emoji23] [emoji23]

We won’t be signing him but not because he’s not good enough or iniury prone, he’s been fit for ages but playing for the best side in the world, it’s not easy getting a game there.

We won’t pay the money to sign him but he would be one of, if not our best player if we did.

Maybe he’ll go back to Bournemouth, his face is annoying enough to fit right in

Exactly this. Some people on here need to give their head a wobble hard enough for their blue and white tinted specs to fall off.

Because it forms a good point of discussion both the pros and cons and the possibility, if any of a signing.

No it doesn't, it grasps a random name of a seasoned pro who is out of contract and out of our price bracket...

It's a bit like the bit at the end of Bullseye, when Jim Bowen said "let's see what you could have won"!

It just accentuates the fact that we are still a little bit shit when it comes to playing with the big boys!

It also completely ignores every single metric, the club has in place, for how they conduct their transfer business.

Other than that...

Compared to earlier BG suggestions like Wilfried Bony and Jazz Richards, this is slightly more realistic and never going to happen.

Has Propper got the energy and legs for relentless pressing of the opposition where opponents have the ball? He can be gifted with the ball, but imho he lacks mobility to play a part in a gegenpressing team.

He’d look a lot better than he does playing for albion.
The point being that LAllana’s talent is rather flattered by the quality of his team mates.
In a struggling team, I don’t think he’d stand out

The last thing we need is another lightweight skill merchant who will get outmuscled, outheaded and generally physically bossed around by the majority of Premiership midfields and defences.
