11.46am Good morning all, or should I say, rubbish morning all. And welcome to ESPNcricinfo's drip-by-drip coverage of the second ODI between South Africa and England at Durban.

It's been raining. A lot. The toss is due at 12.30pm, but that ain't gonna happen.

Toto: "On a scale of 1 to 10, what are chances of play today?" I wouldn't like to put a number on it, but the forecast looks something like this: it was raining earlier, it's raining now, and it's going to rain later.

CRICINFO:

12.40pm Some vague hint of action from the groundstaff, with various tyres being rolled across the covers, but I don't think there's any realistic chance of a start time being announced in the immediate future.
