Yes. Yes we do. It is actually quite sad; I grew up with him from Basil Brush to Yes Prime Minister. Can't believe he was 82! Didn't know he'd been in Heartbeat though, slightly surprised that that is the only show referenced by the OP. (Wasn't that just a vehicle for that bloke off Eastenders? Nigel Berry?)


EDIT: If someone was proposing a minute's applause/silence/jumping etc then yes, I'd agree with you.

I've literally only just realised that he played the character in Heartbeat. Never put the two together before now. I guess that's the sign of a damn fine actor.
