ALways one of the hlighlights of the whole calendar, let alone the music calendar. The Brit awards are again coming, and after a stellar year in 2019 there is much to celebrate and many deserving winners to decorate.
The awards nominations haven't gone without incident, many millenials have taken to social media to express outrage at the ancient continuation of the categories by sex, there were rumours that to appease the likes of Sam Smith they would get nominations in both the best man and best woman category although it turns out he's been nominated for neither, which seems extremly fishy. Also uproar at the lack of female nominations in the non gender specific categories.
The first winner has already been announced, the breakthrough award goes to Celeste. Keen music fans will remember Celeste from her former creation, Daphne & Celeste, who created crowdpleasing bubblegum pop hits like 'Ooh Stick You' and 'U.G.L.Y'. Now she's ditched Daphne and gone solo and the transformation has been incredible.
