Well there are at least 4 places called Sussex in the USA, and even a Brighton, Sussex County in New Jersey - so they should feel at home

Not independent enough to fund their own wedding. Why couldn’t they have made this decision a few years ago? I’ll give it 5 years max

Hugely wealthy. Diana received a large payout as part of her divorce which was passed down and then there is the jewellery. If that went on the market it would make a number of generations financially independent.

Possibly financially independent means we pay for our security.

If so fair play.

Only about another 500 ^^cking spongers to get off the tax payers back so we pay for ONE, the head of state, and the rest can get a job and a mortgage like the rest of us.

As for Brighton, NJ, I can confirm there isn't a Pavilion, Pier or Pub. Quite a way from the beach as well. I don't think they'll like it much. I didn't. I am always curious how place names are copied from the old country when the place doesn't in anyway resemble the original.
